For a moment there I thought I had lost my most preciouc (?!) belongings, my Calvin Klein rings, which gave me quite a scare. They’re nothing more than Stainless steel but still I absolutely adore them and wear them every day. And if, for some reason, I take them off I feel totally naked.

Today I went on a shopping spree
I bought:

• 2 pairs of jeans, Edwin ED 47 (Light & baggy) and Acne (dark & snug)
• 3 tops, 2 strap tops and 1 tee
• 2 cardigans with a little silk strap, 1 black and 1 grayish

Looks like someone’s holding this woman by the head. Love the shoes though.

They come in black but Camilla has them so I better not, we have totally the same taste in clothes and shoes and it’s becoming a little bit of a bother since we often party together. We even have the same kind of YSL glasses.

They appear on over-ripe fruit in kitchens, they swarm in thousands about the residue produced by the pressing of grapes or apples for wine. They nibble on marmalade and other preserves, and wherever vinegar is standing open, they are there.

But did you know that fruit flies (Drosophila hydei) and humans have a lot in common? Genetically speaking, people and fruit flies are surprisingly alike. According to biologist Sharmila Bhattacharya of NASA’s Ames Research Center “About 61% of known human disease genes have a recognizable match in the genetic code of fruit flies, and 50% of fly protein sequences have mammalian analogues.” So given the similarities between fruit flies and humans NASA are going to send fruit flies to the International Space Station to learn what space travel does to the genes of astronauts.

There were postings on several web sites that gave details about a planned flash mob pillow fight on Valentine’s Day in San Francisco. Roughly 1,000 people drawn by Internet postings and word-of-mouth converged for a half-hour pillow fight.

Many of the combatants arrived with pillows concealed in shopping bags, backpacks etc. Apparently within minutes, pillows were arcing, feathers were flying, and by the time the battle was over the battle ground and hundreds of people were covered in white down that gave the scene a wintry lustre. For those unlucky in love this was a welcome antidote to Valentine’s Day.

The rules for the fight were simple: tell everyone about the upcoming pillow fight, show up with a concealed pillow, and don’t hit people without pillows.

I want one of those Pillow fights here in Stockholm, I’d be there swinging my pillow hard and furiously with a big smile on my face.

I went to IKEA (Kungens kurva) with S today. We got there by subway and bus; it was less of a fuss than I had expected to not go there by car. Apparently this particular IKEA is the largest there is, I mean of all the IKEA:s in the world. It is circular with 4 stories and it is kind of hard to find your way around it.

As it happens you always leave IKEA with something don’t you? Today I got a new table for my balcony, some glass bowls, and a glass candlestick.

My mission with the whole IKEA trip was to get a new madras for my bed but it weigh like 10 kilos and measures 160 cm x 45 cm so it had to wait. I have to borrow a car from someone or get somebody strong to tag along and carry the madras for me.
