I’m leaving for my hometown and my mother’s place. A two-hour train ride in each direction, my mother’s food and no sleep-ins whatsoever.

We have a fairly strict dress code at work (as most banks I suspect) and I always wear black high Heels and I’m fed up with it.

These last couple of days I’ve been getting hints from my co-workers that my white and red sneakers don’t really match my business suits. Oh well, I can see were they are coming from, and even though I absolutely don’t like to surrender easily, I sort of did on this matter. I went and bought a pair of fast-looking black sneakers today from Le Coq Sportif. What kind of f***ed up name is that anyway?!

I had them cornered; they panted for air and surrendered. Gave in. I am the ruler of the world…Mwuahahahaha. The icon twist is finally over and of course I got what I wished for.

The Business unit who implemented a new icon into the GUI I’m responsible for (without having checked with me) have surrendered and will correct their mistake ASAP. They also assured that such disobedience will not be shown again.

Hopefully they have realized that in the coming design process it will be much easier for them to do as they’re told or our cooperating in these matters will be very hard. And really, we’re talking friggin icons here.

Ancient Egyptians believed in the afterlife. They asked themselves two questions to determine what kind of an afterlife they would have. The first question was ‘Did you bring joy?’ and the second question was, ‘Did you find joy?

And therefore it seems (though rarely) that love can find entrance not only into an open heart, but also into a heart well fortified, if watch be not well kept.

Tonight there’s this big party on a docked boat here in Sthlm. My friend Nicke turns 30 and has rented a nice little scruffy boat where we can stay all night or into the morning hours of Sunday if the party lasts that long.

I get to bring two nice lady friends, there’s a shortage of girls apparently, so I’m taking Susanne and Pia with me. They are going to meet some of my friends from back home; among which is my eldest friend of all, Henrik. We’ve known each other for 26 years. We met first day of school. We were 6 and did not part until we were 20. Like the older brother I never had he took care of me during all of my school years. Never any romance there, in fact I dated his older brother for a couple of years, but Henrik (though it may pass many months between visits) is still one of my closest.

This is he falling over, different party though =), you could say he’s slightly over served.
