Last night we sang karaoke Joachim and I =) we sang the Swedish classic “Vill ha dig” by Freestyle. A friend of J’s celebrated her birthday at the rundown beer place Snow-white and karaoke was mandatory. After lots of hesitation we entered the stage. Absolutely no reverb whatsofuckingever so we don’t know just how bad it was.
Karaoke is not one of my favorite things, too embracing memories of that I’m afraid. It must have been about 12 years since the last time I stooped to that level. It was the night out with my classmates. We were at Kexfabriken, a bar at which I worked extra. The bartender Moses, signed me up for Tainted love by Soft Cell.
I was so drunk, didn’t know the lyrics, I froze, practically paralyzed so I couldn’t dance even a little bit. Then, in the middle of my singing, or whatever you wanna call it, I saw Henrik laughing so hard he was lying on the floor behind the stage. It was awfully funny I must admit =)

Oh, and you know how when you don’t know the lyrics and make some up that sounds kind of similar. That’s what I did. -But what about the lyrics swooshing by on the screen? You might ask. Well…I was getting motion sickness from looking at the screen so I thought I’d just ad lib it. As long as two years after that hideous evening a girl came up to me when I worked in the same bar. She claimed that she remembered my performance from two years ago so I guess that I made some kind of impression. Bad Bad BAD.

Great! Now I’ve got that stupid song tainted love stuck on my mind! And I haven’t even listened to it for an eternity. It got there after reading your post. SIGH!
It is a catchy song isn’t it Martin, and it sure helps if you know the lyrics =)
