Okay long story, short version.

We made a flight reservation online. The travel agency emails us a confirmation stating a full itinerary flight numbers and all. We are happy. So far so good. It turns out that the travel agency has not withdrawn any money from our account so we call them up asking why not.

–“The price you received is not valid, there has been a so called declaration error with our service provider and we cannot give you this agreed upon price.”

We are not so happy anymore.

Okay, they wanna play hardball. Well two can play that game. We browse around a bit and find a similar case where the ARN (Allmänna Reklamationsnämden) ruled in “our” favor. We write a wee bit threatening letter to the travel agency where we state our demands (we want them to honor their agreement and give us our tickets).

Cautiously optimistic we go away on holiday. Upon our return the travel agency let us know they don’t acknowledge any responsibility towards us. Consequently it’s war.

Being the vindictive type I quickly conjured up all kinds of ways to retaliate. Poop bombs in their mailbox crossed my mind (still haven’t totally let go of that one yet). We called in the heavy artillery at once and emailed Sverker on Plus, all companies are scared shitless by that man and his garbage can. The rest of the vultures (read Media) will have their turn, you can take that to the bank.

So at the present we have booked new (of course considerably much more expensive) tickets for Thailand in December and the dispute is now over the difference in price between our first booking and the new one.

To be continued…
