Vilken fint ställe ni har besökt!

I think there was a little misinformation earlier – I don’t believe it is from “Books: Feed Your Head.”; I don’t find any mention anywhere else of the connection. I think that was confused with other arty clips shown on MTV.

After a short search of the company and title description I found details of it online – it appears to actually be the start of a 15 minute short animation that was made. Here’s the link I found – http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0262490/

So it also seems it was made in 1994, not 1993.

I wrote a description of what happens in the clip, if anyone wants their memory jogged

[It starts with a woman singing beautifully, in a language I can't make out, in quite high notes. Images of solar flares over the sun are shown and we start to move through space.

Then what looks to be sand moving, maybe the sands of time, with the inner workings of a clock moving backwards, which becomes superimposed against the moon.

A woman begins to softly speak those words as the singing fades and a book opens on a desk, on top of many papers. The book's pages flick by. Dressed in a nightgown, she begins to write in the book - "It is the beginning of a journey and I am filled with fear". The last few words write themselves, with the woman no longer there.

A violin plays, and it cuts to an open window at night with a light curtain blowing in the wind. Even the music is enchanting. A flute joins in, many candles start quickly burning upwards from the desk as time flows backwards, and the silhouette of a historically dressed woman, large of dress with a feathered hat, lightly dances superimposed over the many papers.]

Seems to support the surrealist description that the rest of the 15 mintue animation is supposed to be. I can’t find how to get hold of watching any of it online or finding a copy – I’d like something more resilient than my ageing video cassette I found! If anyone manages to follow that up further, please post it
